Brawlidays Balance Changes – 50+ Buffs/Nerfs

The Brawl Stars Brawlidays 2020 update is arriving, so it’s no surprise that a balance change will be coming as well. Oh boy, is this set of balance changes a big one – there are over 50 buffs and nerfs! Brawlidays balance changes

Brawler Buffs

2020 has been full of bad news, so let’s start off with the Brawler buffs!

  • 8-Bit: Increased Damage Booster’s (Super) damage boost by 20%
  • Bull: Berserker (Star Power) now triggers at 60% health instead of 40%
  • Carl: Heat Ejector (Gadget) damage per second increased by 33% (300 – 400)
  • Colette:
    • Increased health by 6.25%
    • Increased Mass Tax (Star Power) shield by 10%
  • Colt:
    • Increased main attack damage by 12.5%
    • Slick Boots (Star Power) movement speed bonus increased from 10% to 13%
  • Crow:
    • Slowing Toxic (Gadget) duration increased by 1.5s (+43%)
    • Defense Booster (Gadget) charges increased from 2 to 3
  • Darryl: Tar Barrel (Gadget) duration increased by 1s (+25%)
  • Dynamike:
    • Increased reload speed by 6%
    • Increased Fidget Spinner (Gadget) damage by 71% to 1200
  • Emz:
    • Increased main attack damage by 4%
    • Increased Super damage by 20%
    • Hype (Star Power) healing per Brawler hit increased by 31% to 420
  • Frank: Increased health by 9.4%
  • Gale: Increased health by 5.9%
  • Gene: Lamp Blowout (Gadget) charges increased from 2 to 3
  • Jacky:
    • Increased Counter Crush (Star Power) damage from 15% to 30%
    • Increased main attack damage by 6.7%
  • Jessie:
    • Increased main attack damage by 9.5%
    • Increased Energize (Star Power) healing by 12%
    • Increased Scrappy health by 6.7%
  • Leon: Smoke Trails (Star Power) speed boost increased by 6%
  • Mortis: Life steal from Super increased by 25%
  • Mr. P: Increased main attack damage by 8.6%
  • Nita:
    • Increased main attack damage by 10%
    • Bear With Me (Star Power) healing per hit increased from 500 to 800 (+60%)
  • Pam:
    • Increased Super healing by 12.5%
    • Mama’s Hug (Star Power) healing increased by 20% per hit (40 48)
    • Mama’s Squeeze (Star Power) damage per second increased from 500 to 800 (+60%)
  • Piper: Increased Snappy Sniping (Star Power) reload speed from 0.3 to 0.4 ammo gained per hit (+33.3%)
  • Rico:
    • Increased health by 7.7%
    • Super Bouncy (Star Power) damage bonus increased from 100 to 124(+24%)
  • Sandy: Increased Healing Wins (Star Power) heal by 250/s to 300/s (+20%)
  • Shelly:
    • Shell Shock (Star Power) slow duration increased by 33% (3s 4s)
    • Band-Aid (Star Power) recharge time reduced by 25% (20s 15s )

Brawler Nerfs

Now let’s take a look at the downgrades…

  • Brawlers that have abilities that give them health when hitting enemies will only heal when hitting enemy Brawlers. In other words, hitting a turret, the safe in Heist, pets, etc. will no longer give the affected Brawlers (Nita, Pam, Mortis, Emz) a heal. Learn more by watching KairosTime’s video here.
  • Brock:
    • Decreased health by 7.7%
    • Decreased main attack damage by 5.5%
    • Incendiary (Star Power) damage per second decreased by 13.3% (600 520)
    • Rocket Fuel (Gadget) bonus damage decreased by 50% (from 100%)
  • Carl:
    • Decreased main attack range by 13%
    • Decreased Super charge rate slightly
  • Crow: Defense Booster (Gadget) shield amount reduced from 60% to 40%
  • Gene:
    • Decreased health by 5.9%
    • Decreased Super charge rate from main attack by 33%
    • Lamp Blowout (Gadget) push radius decreased by 33% (now same as Emz)
    • Lamp Blowout (Gadget) healing decreased by 14.3%
  • Spike: Decreased main attack reload speed by 5%
  • Tara:
    • Decreased health by 5.9%
    • Psychic Enhancer (Gadget) duration decreased by 20% (5s 4s)
  • Tick: Decreased main attack reload speed by 4.5%

Phew, that’s a lot of changes for one update! Some Brawlers are receiving multiple balances (Gene has 5!) while others aren’t getting balanced by much, but regardless, the meta is sure to change around these new balances.
