Brawl Pass Worth It Thumb

Brawl Pass – Is it Worth it and Should you buy it?

It’s now been a few weeks since the Brawl Pass has come out. However, the everlasting question still exists: is the Brawl Pass worth the money? Let’s take a look at the answer to this question.

Bang for the buck

First, let’s state some facts about the Brawl Pass. It costs 169 Gems to purchase the Brawl Pass (not the Brawl Pass Bundle) which correlates to roughly $10 worth of Gems. The Brawl Pass includes a guaranteed Chromatic Brawler (Gale), an exclusive Merchant Gale skin, exclusive and cool Pins for Gale, 6 Mega Boxes, Coins and Power Points, many Big Boxes, and some Brawl Pass exclusive Quests. Seems like quite a lot of stuff for $10 right?

If you said yes, you would be correct. Just looking at Mega Boxes, 6 Mega Boxes costs 480 Gems, which translates to over $20. You’re already saving over $10 right there alone. And then take a look at getting a guaranteed Chromatic Brawler. Assuming Legendary rarity, it would be quite rare to unlock these Brawlers from regular boxes. Oh, and the exclusive skin and Pins? You can’t even really place a value on that.

So, the Brawl Pass is a definite buy, right? Well, not necessarily. Although it has a great dollar to reward ratio, there are some other factors that should be considered.

Don’t buy the Brawl Pass?

The first reason many people hesitate to buy the Brawl Pass is its price. Compared to other Supercell games, $10 is expensive for a “battle pass.” Both Clash of Clans and Clash Royale’s version of the Brawl Pass are only $5 each, and each pass offers extremely well-worth rewards as well. In this sense, it wouldn’t make much sense to dish out an extra five bucks (although it should be noted that Brawl Stars seasons are longer than the seasons in C.O.C and C.R).

Another point to made is that the Brawl Pass doesn’t offer a whole lot for players who have already maxed out accounts and are close to it. Other than getting a new Brawler, an exclusive skin, and some Pins, there really isn’t anything else that would be useful. Furthermore, if Gale is the only Brawler that’s left to be unlocked, is it really worth spending $10 to essentially buy the Brawler instead of waiting to unlock it from a box? Probably not. Oh, and don’t forget: who even uses Pins right now?

So should you buy the Brawl Pass?

It really depends. First and foremost, it is important to keep in mind that, no matter how worth an offer may be, you are still spending money. $10 on a mobile game is not that small of a deal. In fact, if you play Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, you may even be better off purchasing their Passes instead.

Yes, you should buy the Pass – If you have the necessary funds and your account is not already maxed or close to being maxed out, you should definitely buy the Brawl Pass. It offers an incredible deal that greatly helps with game progression and overall entertainment. Also, exclusive items can always be a plus.

No, you should not buy the Pass – If you’re not really sure you want to spend $10 on a mobile game, if your account is nearly maxed out or already maxed, if you don’t really care about exclusive items, then you should save your money on someplace else. (Don’t buy the Brawl Pass for the sole purpose of attaining Gale).

    1. Yep! You can collect all the rewards from the Battle Pass regardless of when you buy it.
