The first Boss Fight event following the March update which introduced Gadgets is live and players have already discovered ways to exploit the game mode. This new Boss Fight glitch/exploit allows players to easily beat the Insane+ difficulties easily and earn massive Token rewards for just 1 ticket a game.
There have been Boss Fight exploits in the past where a Brawler (most likely Bull) would stay far away from the Boss in order to attract all the rockets fired from the boss starting at the Expert difficulty. However, this trick still required a good comp and strategic movements in order to be pulled off, a feat proving difficult for most players. Luckily, the new Boss Fight exploit is easy to pull off and doesn’t require much strategy at all.
What’s the new Boss Fight glitch/exploit?
The new Boss Fight exploit requires El Primo’s Suplex Supplement Gadget and a patch of water (you’ll understand what I mean).
Essentially, the exploit takes advantage of a glitch with the Boss robot getting stuck in a patch of water (there always seems to be issues with water – remember Pool Party?). The trick is relatively easy to pull off and doesn’t require much skill, but there are still some things to watch out for.
How to pull off the exploit
First, you’ll need someone with El Primo’s Gadget on your team. If no one has El Primo’s Gadget, you could also try the exploit with Sprout’s Super as demonstrated by this Reddit post. However, in this post, I’ll be focusing on beating Boss Fight with El Primo’s Gadget.
After someone in your team who has El Primo’s Gadget chooses to play Primo, choose two other Brawlers with high DPS to win the round more quickly. Brawlers I recommend are Spike, Nita (with Hyperbear), 8-bit, and Pam (her healing could come in handy). Once you have all three Brawlers ready, start the round.
Here’s where the fun begins. Once you start the round, start luring the Boss to the large patch of water on the left side of the map.
The two other ponds in the image above work as well, but this one is the closest and easiest one to carry out the exploit with. Once you (I’m assuming you are playing as El Primo) are right beside the water in the lower right-hand corner and the Boss is next to you, activate Suplex Supplement. This will toss the Boss “into” the water and glitch it out.
Don’t worry if the Boss doesn’t look like it’s trapped on top of the water. You’ll know if the glitch worked because the Boss will no longer shoot out lasers or charge towards Brawlers. However, rockets will still come out from the Boss and smaller robots will still spawn, so watch out for those.
Here’s a clip demonstrating the steps to reproduce this glitch:
Will El Primo’s Super ruin the Boss Fight glitch?
No. In fact, no knockback will affect the Boss (it will not become unstuck). This means that Supers or Gadgets with knockback effects like Shelly or Bull will not ruin the glitch. However, any Super or Gadget that drags or pushes opponents away most likely will untrap the Boss. For example, Gene’s grab, Tara’s grab, and even El Primo’s Gadget will ruin the glitch. If you’re playing with randoms, pray that they know what you’re doing.
Take advantage of this exploit while you can.
It looks like El Primo’s Gadget isn’t completely useless after all. However, be advised that a bug as impactful as this (remember all the Robo Rumble exploits?) will most likely be fixed relatively quickly. There’s almost no doubt that by the time Boss Fight comes into rotation again, Supercell will have already patched this bug. In fact, this exploit may very well be fixed in the next few days before Boss Fight is even gone, so hustle up!
If you found this post helpful, share it with your friends to teach them the exploit as well! If there is anything I got wrong in this post, don’t hesitate to drop a comment below or message me on Discord. Enjoy the exploit while you still can!
